Our client is a leading global multi-strategy hedge-fund. We are delighted to support them in the search for a high-performing Senior Linux Engineer.

The Role

You’ll join an international team responsible for developing and managing the company's extensive computing infrastructure. This involves overseeing operating systems, software tools, high-performance computing, networking, and storage for research and trading purposes. Your role will involve diverse technology projects within a distributed computing setup, primarily focusing on Linux systems. Responsibilities include workload scheduling, fleet management, clustered file system operations, software development lifecycle management, kernel and network optimization for high-speed applications, and analyzing metrics data.

The successful candidate will:

• Have a degree in computer science or a related field and 10-20 years of relevant experience are necessary.
• Be proficient in Linux systems and configuration tools (essential).
• Be a strong developer; familiarity with Rust, C, and Go is advantageous.
• Have experience with automated build, deployment, and CI/CD systems.
• Possess strong troubleshooting skills, familiarity with diagnostic tools is also required.
• Be a strong, influential and engaging communicator..
• Ideally have experience in maintaining infrastructure for distributed systems, high-performance computing, large-scale storage, and knowledge of network protocols.
