About the Role
The Client
I’m partnering with a leading crypto infrastructure startup based in London that’s building next-generation systems at the intersection of trading, MEV, and decentralised finance. This is a unique opportunity to join a team of highly experienced founders and engineers who are shaping the future of blockchain infrastructure at scale.
They are now looking to bring on a Blockchain Infrastructure Engineer to help drive the expansion of their core systems across new blockchain ecosystems, while maintaining the performance and reliability of existing infrastructure. This is a deeply technical, hands-on role that offers real ownership and greenfield work.
What You'll Be Doing:
-
Evolve and extend the company’s high-performance block building and sequencing systems to support additional blockchains (L1s/L2s).
-
Own critical infrastructure components and ensure they operate with low latency and high reliability.
-
Contribute to architecture, system design, and implementation of backend and infrastructure projects.
-
Operate in a fast-paced, startup-style environment where speed, iteration, and autonomy are key.
What They’re Looking For:
-
Strong engineering background, ideally with experience building backend or distributed systems.
-
Professional experience in Rust (or systems-level languages such as C, C++, or Go).
-
Quick to pick up new technical concepts, frameworks, and tools.
-
Comfortable navigating ambiguity and delivering in high-velocity settings.
-
Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and bias towards action.
Bonus Points For:
-
End-to-end delivery of greenfield projects (architecture to implementation).
-
Prior experience in crypto, particularly at the protocol or infrastructure layer (e.g., L1s, L2s, MEV systems).
-
Familiarity with testnets, node operations, smart contract workflows, and blockchain infra tooling.
-
Solid understanding of blockchain fundamentals and how decentralised systems work.
Location:
The role is onsite in London. This is a highly collaborative environment where in-person interaction with other top-tier engineers is seen as critical to success.
This is a rare opportunity to work on the bleeding edge of crypto infrastructure with a team that truly values engineering rigour, speed, and impact. If you’re excited by the challenge and want to build in a frontier space, please APPLY within.
