About the Role
The Company
My client is a cutting-edge, venture-backed crypto technology company based in London who are at the forefront of decentralised finance infrastructure. They are building high-performance systems used across the transaction supply chain, with a particular focus on trading and MEV (Maximal Extractable Value). This is an exceptional opportunity to join a technically outstanding team with a strong track record of successful startup ventures and a mission to transform the future of finance.
They’re looking for a Software Engineer who combines strong theoretical grounding with practical engineering excellence. If you thrive in fast-paced environments, enjoy solving hard problems, and want to contribute to building critical infrastructure in the crypto space, this role is well worth your consideration.
The Opportunity:
You’ll be working alongside the founding team and will take ownership of key projects from day one. This is a rare chance to influence the core architecture of a system that is already having measurable impact within the Ethereum ecosystem. It’s a highly collaborative, hands-on environment where your work will directly shape the future of the platform.
Key Responsibilities:
-
Enhance and expand low-latency block building and trading systems.
-
Optimise the performance of the core block builder engine for maximum throughput.
-
Improve network infrastructure to achieve fast, consistent data transmission.
-
Design and develop features for:
-
Advanced bundle merging and transaction sequencing.
-
State-of-the-art auction mechanisms.
-
Bundle and transaction propagation and inclusion optimisation.
-
Skills & Experience:
-
2+ years of strong programming experience, ideally in Rust. (Candidates with a background in C/C++, Java, Go, or C# and a willingness to learn Rust are welcome.)
-
Proven experience with high-performance, multi-threaded systems.
-
Background in latency-sensitive applications and/or distributed systems.
-
Familiarity with concurrency, object-oriented programming and database systems (SQL).
-
Comfortable in a modern engineering environment (Linux/Unix, Git, Docker, AWS).
-
Understanding of the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) and MEV concepts is a significant plus.
Who You Are:
-
Analytical thinker with a background in maths, physics, computer science, or engineering.
-
Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
-
Comfortable making decisions under pressure in a dynamic setting.
-
Highly driven and motivated to build meaningful, impactful technology.
Location:
This role is based onsite in London. Candidates should be local or willing to relocate, as the company places high value on in-person collaboration and knowledge sharing.
If you’re excited by the challenge of pushing boundaries in crypto infrastructure and want to work with some of the sharpest minds in the industry, I’d love to hear from you. Please submit your CV.
