Head of Derivatives Technology

Are you an experienced financial services technology professional looking for an exciting new challenge?  Can you demonstrate a track record of delivering technology solutions across structured products and derivatives including exotics?  Would you like to play a pivotal role building the technology function for a rapidly expanding financial trading business based in London?  Do you have extensive experience working as part of the senior leadership team and driving the delivery of best in class technology solutions.

This is a newly created position in line with rapid business expansion that offers an exceptional opportunity for an ambitious candidate to play key role in growth of this high profile business.  As the successful applicant you will work in partnership with the senior leadership team to define the requirements of the technology delivery, building out both development and support functions. Defining best in class standards ensuring that technology delivery meets the priorities of the business.  A selection of your key duties will be to provide and support strategic technological direction and right-size the technology footprint for and effective service.  Retain alignment to the core Technology Strategy whilst innovating new solutions, ensuring the business is always one step ahead of the competition. You will contribute to the technical direction of the department, research new concepts and technologies and evaluate third party products and tools, creating epics that capture business deliverables with an agreed set of acceptance criteria.  Ensure delivered infrastructure and systems are of production quality and adequately documented for handover to the business and/or support functions.

To be considered you will be able to demonstrate detailed knowledge of structured products and Cross Asset Derivatives (Equity, Commodity, FX, Rates, Credit). Knowledge of vendor systems used within the Structured Product Trade Lifecycle, ideally Sophis. You will have extensive vendor management experience – including delivery of large, vendor centric projects, and product development experience in an agile environment. Naturally delivery focussed, with entrepreneurial and leadership skills, comfortable taking responsibility and resilient in fast paced working environment. Knowledge of the full trade lifecycle would very beneficial.
